Students' Lesson Videos

Andy Li - Canon in C (arranged by Audris Ho)

Andy's girlfriend loves Pachelbel's Canon in D. He came to me with 0 music background, determined to play this piece for his wedding proposal.

I specially came up this arrangement for him at a level he can manage. By the 6th lesson (an hour lesson per week), he could more or less play Canon in C. He may not have the best technique, but given a limited time frame to the proposal day, I feel he has done well. This video was taken after having about 10 lessons for which he had been practising at home and at various Glasgow public pianos. I advised him to find public pianos to play so as to get used to playing in front of people.

I've gained the couple's permission to put up photos of the proposal day and these are added at the end of the footage.

Avaneesh - Happy Halloween Werewolf!

Using the tune of Happy Birthday, we changed it to Happy Halloween Werewolf because 2 days later it's Halloween!! very impromptu recording, first attempt!

Gregor - Jam with Jazz + Slam Dunk

Gregor only had 16 lessons with me before I returned back to Singapore. To play perfectly with a complicated backing track using Encore Junior Series, he has worked on his musical and rhythmic sense too. This was taken in our last lesson.

Scott - Jingle Bells

He just started lesson with me in Glasgow but I wanted to have fun in music with him so I got him singing instead of playing the piano since Christmas was coming.

Avaneesh - Happy Birthday

The most important song to learn in your lifetime. Customised and arranged for Avaneesh.

Morvern - Guess Who (Encore Junior Series 2)

Backing tracks by Encore makes learning piano so much more interesting!!

Avaneesh - Jingle Bells

A christmas duet played by ear with my student in Glasgow.

Kiera - Hark! The Herald Angels Sing

With my student in Darnley, it was an impromptu idea to change this into a duet. She played the melody and I used the guitar chords written above for accompaniment.

Eilidh - Do you wanna build a snowman

My student in Glasgow loves this song and christmas was round the corner so I got her singing it.
