Music Educator / Piano Teacher

Having amassed ten years of piano teaching experience in Singapore and Scotland (2 years: 2014 - 2015), and having been a student of music since the tender age of 4, Audris brings in a wealth of musical knowledge and experience with her both on stage, and in the classroom. She has been a professional piano teacher since 2005 and is accredited with: 

 

  • Distinction in DipABRSM (Diploma of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) in piano teaching

  • ALCM (Associate Diploma of the London College of Music) in piano teaching, 

  • CT ABRSM (Certificate of Teaching)

  • Grade 8 Piano (ABRSM)

  • Grade 8 Music Theory (ABRSM)

  • Encore Music Education Trainer for Singapore since 2016

  • Encore Music Education Teacher since 2010

 

Audris has had many years of academic piano teaching and preparing her students for the ABRSM examinations (theory and practical) for all levels from ages 2.5 years and up. Her students come from all walks of life, from children as young as 2.5 years old, to adult beginners and working professionals over 40 years of age. She ardently believes that no one is too young or too old to start learning the piano, and is experienced at teaching students of any age (often catering her teaching style to individuals’ specific abilities, talent levels and learning preferences).

As a performer, this seasoned singer-songwriter has infused her classical training with modern styling, apprenticing under several respected Singapore-based musicians while honing her craft. Audris has close to a decade of experience as a singer, and consistently performs at weddings, recitals and commercial events. As a songwriter, Audris has been experimenting with tunes since her days in Secondary School, and now has a library that spans a wide spectrum of human emotions. Delve into her collection, and you’ll find a niche of gems that highlight a special preference for heartwarming love stories and fun, upbeat melodies about the everyday things in life that inspire us all.

  1. Published her original song “There’s No Place Like Home” for the SG50 project
    - The song was featured on the Channel 8 前线追踪, History Channel, Chinese newspaper “Lian He Wan Bao”, the Newpaper, on the SG50 official youtube "Grounded Project" and in the 50on50 webisode #7.
    - Audris Ho and lyricist Charlyn Too were interviewed by Eden Ang on 50on50 for SG50
    - Featured at the Eunos National Day Observance Ceremony (9 Aug 2014)
    - Featured at the SG50 Street Party National Day event on 15 Aug 2015


     

  2. Wrote the melody for the original song “If You Were In My Shoes” – a collaborative effort with a deaf musician-lyricist Lily Goh
    - The song was created to raise public awareness about the deaf in Singapore.

     

  3. Published her original song "Because You're My Friend" in March 2017 which debut live at Esplanade Concourse 17 December 2016.
     

  4. Performed at various public pianos venues and conservatories in Scotland, England, Iceland and Singapore.
